About Me

My name is Alex Foygel and I’ve been working in internet marketing and website creation for about 4 years.  It started as a hobby, as I started to enjoy creating websites, like my blog (thetshirtblog.com) or a professional website I built for my dad (igorfoygel.com). Eventually the challenge became in attracting visitors and making sure the websites I created were visible via search engines, and well interconnected with other websites. I started becoming more involved in affiliate marketing and creating websites specifically tailored to a range of products or services that I was promoting, and optimizing them to rank highly in search engines. I also began focusing my efforts on learning the ins and outs of Pay Per Click paid inclusion services (also called SEM or PPC), namely Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing, and along the way fulfilled the requirements to become Google Adwords Advertising Professional. At the moment I’m concentrating my efforts on SEM, mostly in the retail sector. I enjoy working as an independent contractor, but at the same time I am also interested in working with small business and other potential clients.

Are you really starving, and what exactly do you do?

I chose the moniker “Starving SEO” as a commentary on how casual, yet artful the term ’starving’ has become, in reference to someone with career uncertainty or even someone who is passionate about their endeavors. I work in several aspects of internet marketing, including SEO/SEM, linking building and affiliate marketing. Occasionally, I find myself designing websites, working on small graphic design projects, or installing and modifying web software. I also run several websites, and enjoy t-shirt design as a hobby.
